Baby tutu's are adorable and perfect for photo sessions! Instead of buying a tutu, try making one yourself! It is easy and inexpensive.
Materials:
1. 1/2" Elastic (long enough to fit the waist)
2. Tulle
Amount of tulle needed:
1-3 months: 5 yards
6 months: 6 yards
12 months: 7 yards
18 months: 8 yards
Directions:
1. Cut your tulle into strips
1-3 months: 18" x 7"
6 months: 20" x 7"
12 months: 22" x 7"
18 months: 24" x 7"
2. Create knot around elastic: fold strip in half, place folded half under the elastic, pull the ends through the loop, pull tight (remember to keep the ends even)
3. Repeat until you are satisfied with the volume of your tutu
